FAQ

Can begginners join?

Absolutely! Our classrooms are friendly, warm and welcoming. Our Leisure based classes are designed to cater for different experienced students.

Students can join anytime excluding term 3, as this is our term prior to performance. Term 4 of a school year is DanceSA’s first term.

What do students wear & bring?

Stretch clothes you are comfortable in! DanceSA has a uniform however is not compulsory, samples are available to view and try in class.

Most girls wear leggins and boys wear track pants accompanied by a top that is easy to move in. Large items of jewellery can be dangerous and hair needs to be away from the face.

Bring a bottle of water with a name on it and remember no shoes are needed!

When do I pay & fill out enrolment details?

Your class teacher will give you an ‘information pack’ at the end of your trial class. This contains an enrolment form, uniform order form & payment details.

Do students have to perform in the annual concert?

Performances are not compulsory, however all students are encouraged to perform as we know what an amazing experience it is for our students!

Do parents watch classes?

Parents are welcome to watch the trial lesson and then encouraged to not  be present. This is done for keeping our classroom quiet and focused.

We do permit parents to be in class for Junior 1 students until they become settled.

If Nanna is visiting from out of town, you may call the office to organise a ‘special occasion’ viewing.

Parents, family & friends are welcomed into the last class of term to watch. (excludes the term prior to performance)
