Emma began her dance teaching journey in 2000 as an assistant dance teacher at her local dance school. During her secondary school years, she coordinated numerous dance programs, choreographing Eisteddfods, productions, and concerts. Her leadership skills were further developed as a youth leader for the government program Active8, where she worked on youth and leadership initiatives, traveled interstate for conferences, and collaborated with esteemed arts organisations such as Carclew Youth Arts, Country Arts SA, and AIT Arts.
In October 2003, Emma officially registered her business, DanceSA, and launched classes in Yankalilla, South Australia, in February 2004 with 80 eager students. Simultaneously, she contracted with schools across South Australia as a choreographer, producing countless memorable productions. Within its first year, DanceSA was operating at full capacity, and since then, it has grown exponentially, now offering dance classes in 20+ locations across metropolitan and rural South Australia.
In 2016, DanceAUS Group was registered as a company, paving the way for a national rollout of DanceSA’s successful dance school network model. Emma has completed a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management and continues to refine her leadership and business skills through executive coaching.
“Creating opportunities for thousands of students to experience the benefits of dance has been one of my greatest achievements. I’m deeply proud to provide an inspiring platform for children across Australia to grow through the art of dance.”
Emma’s other cherished achievements include her three beautiful children: Lexie, Summer, and Max, who inspire her every day.
